Sat. Feb 4: Day lost in the air with books and movies crossing the International Date-Line.
Sun. Feb 5: Early morning arrival in Auckland. Check-in the five-star Langham Hotel, after rest, a brief city tour, welcome cocktail party and dinner.
Mon. Feb 6: Play Gulf Harbor GC, New Zealand Pebble Beach. Late afternoon stroll around Auckland Harbor; perhaps with fish and chips and music on Mission Beach as a casual dinner alternative.
Tues. Feb 7: Play Alistair Mackenzie's Titirangi GC. New Zealand's oldest course. A sunset cocktail cruise on the Waitemata Harbor then a seafood dinner at Kermadec Fish restaurant overlooking the waterfront.
Wed. Feb 8: Depart Auckland, travel north by luxury coach along the coast line to Paihia on the Bay of Islands with a lunch stop Whangarie Town Basin. Check-in Paihia Beach Hotel and dine at Pure Tastes, the hotel's award winning restaurant.
Thurs. Feb 9: Play nearby Waitangi GC overlooking the scenic Bay of Islands. Ferry across the bay to Russell for dinner and search for the little blue penguins. They come ashore after dark.
Fri. Feb 10: A coach trip to play the dramatic Kauri Cliffs GC set beside the Pacific Ocean offering magnificent views on every hole. A spectacular Maori Culture show in the Waitangi meeting house after dinner.
Sat. Feb 11: Flight from Kerikeri back to Auckland then on to Lake Taupo. Check-in Manuels Hotel on the Lake. Enjoy a refreshing swim between the lake's hot and cold streams.
Sun. Feb 12: Early golf at the Wairakeri International GC and a late-day, private, cocktail and dinner cruise aboard a luxury fishing boat on Lake Taupo. Your catch is barbecue fresh off the hook. Sit back and enjoy a fabulous sunset on the sail back to the hotel.
Mon. Feb 13:
A day free of golf to enjoy Taupo's famous hot thermal baths. How about a Hot Honey Wrap or Natures Escape body scrub?
Alternatively, you can take a full day trip to play Kidnappers GC in Lord of The Rings Country*
Tues. Feb 14: Today play the nearby Kinloch Golf Club, an exciting, new Nicklaus layout, voted one of the Top 10 new golf courses in the world for 2007 by the prestigious US Travel and Leisure golf magazine. Perhaps we can arrange dinner at famous Huka Lodge patronized by royalty and the famous stars of screen and stage.
Wed. Feb 15: Flight from Taupo over the Southern Alps to Queenstown. Check-in Millbrook Resort. After lunch play the spectacular Millbrook Course with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and snow capped mountains.
Thus. Feb 16: A day for sightseeing beginning with a quick flight to Milford Sound and a leisurely cruise through the fiords. Jet-boating the Shotover River canyon is a must in the afternoon. Dinner in nearby gold-rush village of Arrowtown. Jade has replaced gold in storefront windows.
Fri. Feb 17: Golf at Jacks Point GC overlooking Queenstown and the Remarkable Mountains as a back-drop. An evening cruising on the TSS Earnslaw to Walter Peak Farm for dinner and sheep-dog trials. On board musical entertainment is a highlight of the return trip.
Sat. Feb 18: Time for last-minute shopping before the flight to Auckland and the return flight to the USA. Again pass the International Date-line to arrive back home on the same day.
